CDS 1application form 2021 will be released on October 28. Candidates can fill the application form till November 17. The application fee can be paid both online and offline. The application fees are Rs 200 General and OBC male candidates. Female/SC/ST candidates are exempted from fee payment.

CDS 1application form 2021 will be released on October 28. Candidates can fill the application form till November 17. The application fee can be paid both online and offline. The application fees are Rs 200 General and OBC male candidates. Female/SC/ST candidates are exempted from fee payment. The application form can be filled in two stages. In Part I of registration, candidates are required to fill the basic information. In Part II, candidates need to pay the application fees, select the exam centre, upload photograph, signature, photo identity card document and declaration. Read More

The vacancies for the respective defence academies are released along with CDS notification. Approximately 400 vacancies are announced for CDS 1 and 2. Selection of candidates is done on merit-cum-preference basis.

The written exam of IMA, INA and AFA comprises three sections. The total marks of the test are 300, each paper will be for 2 hours. The exam of OTA will comprise two papers. The syllabus comprises topics from the subjects: English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics. The standard of Elementary Mathematics will be of Class 10 level. The standard of other subjects will be of the graduation level. Check below CDS syllabus:

The selection process includes a written exam and SSB Interview. On the basis of the marks of the written exam, candidates are selected for SSB Interview. Candidates qualifying the SSB Interview are recommended for final selection. Candidates will be offered admission based on the marks of written exam, SSB Interview, ranks, medical fitness, and vacancies.

Selection is done based on written exam and SSB Interview.

  • SSB Interview is a two-stage process.
  • Candidates need to secure CDS cut off marks to qualify each stage of selection.
  • Candidates are assigned All India Ranks based on their merit.
  • The allotment is done on merit-cum-preference basis.
  • In subject of the written exam, candidates need to secure 20%.
  • All candidates need to undergo training for a certain period of time.
