The LLM is again either a 1 year or two years course. DU offers a two-year course but the course duration doesn’t make a difference, choosing one year LLM course is best because it saves tons of your time . but many like better to do LLM from an honest university and lots of choose a not-so-good type where attendance and performance aren’t a problem and keep preparing for internet exam. One who is willing to start his/her own practice should immediately get enrolled in the bar and appear for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) which is compulsory to clear to practice law in India. It occurs biannually. You cannot argue in court if you have not cleared the AIBE exam.

If you have a good CV then it is a cakewalk to get a good job. What makes a good CV is

Field of internship, i.e., nature of work and with reputed firms/advocates
Number of articles and research papers you have published in good journals
Performance in Moot Court
Participation in debates
Participation in judgment writing competitions

But what about the students who do not have a good CV? Well, the truth is you require a good CV only if you want to work under someone, for everything else your knowledge will work magic for you. If you want to go for a corporate job and do not have a good CV you should start interning in a good firm either in your last semester or after graduation for at least 6 months which opens your chances to a job opening in the firm.

But in government jobs, your CV does not come to play, although having LL.M is beneficial in career prospects in the judiciary.
