Since the gap session 1948-49, the school was related to to the University of the city in English, Bengali, Sanskrit, History, Logic, Civics, industrial geographics, industrial Arithmetic, components of Book Keeping to I.A. customary and organizers were driven to introduce I.Sc. course from the terribly next session. From the terribly starting of the Commerce was run within the evening within the interest of the otherwise utilized students. however, with the increasing tendency of the lady students to check commerce, the department was shifted from the evening to the morning. seeable of the ever-increasing want and demand of the neck of the woods, city University offered affiliation in Honours Course in Bengali, English, Chemistry, History, government, arithmetic, social science and job at degree level in fast succession. however, since 1985, the affiliation of the colleges of undivided Midnapore district was modified from C.U. to V.U. by the govt. . policy and affiliation in Honours course were obtained from V.U. in Physics, Zoology, Botany, Physiology, Philosophy, and Indo-Aryan. Recently, self-financed courses in geographics, Education, education, applied science are introduced. the school is currently additional or less equipped with a decent no. of school members, technical employees and ministerial employees. it’s ruled by a well-coordinated establishment.
The College began its journey with simply many subjects and {also the} college library was also beginning to serve the users. At this stage, the users were terribly meager. school} has currently flourished from its embryonic stage to a multi disciplinary College, after, the wants of the users has additionally been inflated. The B.Ed category started in 1965 with the strength of a hundred twenty-five students. at the moment the quantity of departments is nineteen with B ED, Commerce and P.G. Bengali, History, Sanskrit, zoological science, etc. Despite restricted resources and several other money constraints, shortage of staffs and infrastructural limitations, we tend to do our greatest to fulfill the stress of our users by rendering varied services to any or all with the combined efforts of our employees’ members further as the authority.

- Boys Hostel
The College has three hostels, one for the boys, they are well governed by the teacher and superintendents. The admission is made strictly on the basis of the distance from the students’ residence. Priorities are given to S.C., S.T., and handicapped students. The boys’ hostel has an intake capacity of 60 students. No married student is allowed to stay in a hostel. Any unsuccessful candidate in any university examination will be given one more chance to overstay in the hostel. The rules and regulations laid by the Hostel Committee are obligatory to the inmates of the hostel.
- Girls Hostel
The College has three hostels, two are for the girls’ students. They are well governed by the teacher and the superintendents. - Gym
The college has a big hall is used as Gymnasium where various modern equipment for indoor physical training is available.
- Library

The B.Ed class started in 1965 with a strength of 125 students. At present, the number of departments is nineteen with BEd, Commerce and P.G. Bengali, History, Sanskrit, Zoology, etc. Despite limited resources and several financial constraints, shortage of staffs, and infrastructural limitations, we are doing our best to meet the demands of our users by rendering various services to all with the combined efforts of our staff members as well as authority
- Sports
The college has a playground measuring 399.85 sq mt. and located at the front of the Arts & Science Block has been systematically developed. Recently it has been upgraded as an ideal ground for all sorts of sports activities. The college authority provides various applicants for conducting Football& Cricket tournaments and for holding district-level annual sports in addition to the college sports and college inter-class Football, Cricket tournaments.

There is a Cheap Canteen in the college that caters food to the students at a subsidized rate.

The College has a large Auditorium to organize a seminar and another cultural program.

The college has a separate center for Health Unit furnished with First Aid facilities. It is a matter of pride that the In-charge of the unit is a teacher as well as a medical degree holder approved by MCI.

Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya offers placement at the end of each program. About 4,000 college students from B.Sc in CS program are placed in a year. The highest salary bundle presented is forty-two LPA, and the bottom salary package deal offered is six LPA. The average salary package deal offered is twenty-one LPA.
