Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy was established in the year 1997 by the well-known Philanthropist and Industrialist, late Sri ‘Padmabhushan’ Dr. B. V. Raju, under Dr. B. V. Raju Foundation and Sri Vishnu Educational Society. Sri K. V. Vishnu Raju, his grandson succeeded as Chairman and is making all efforts to impart the Quality Education.

Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy (SVCP) is the first private Pharmacy College affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and is situated in pollution free sprawling campus spread over 108 acres, with the latest equipment, spacious air-conditioned smart lecture halls, computer lab and seminar hall along with good library facilities. SVCP has been successful in providing and maintaining high quality in teaching Pharmaceutical Sciences.

SVCP is the only recognized Pharmaceutical Research Centre under Andhra University,Visakhapatnam. Our faculty members got Research grant from AICTE, CSIR, DBT, DST etc.SVCP is the first Pharmacy College in A. P. accredited by NAAC, Bangalore and our B.Pharm.Program is NBA accredited.

The institution offers B.Pharm. (4 years), Pharm.D. (6 years), Pharm.D. (PB) (3 years),M.Pharm. (2 years) in six specializations and PhD.

The college has committed itself to become a center for excellence in pharmaceutical education and research and be a leader in the field of pharmaceutical sciences including pharmacy practice with the objective of strengthening the healthcare of the country.

Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy (SVCP) B.Pharm Admission 2022

At the undergraduate level, Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy (SVCP) Bhimavaramoffers B.Pharm program with an annual intake of 100 seats. The candidates must have passed 10+2 with Math, Physics and Chemistry or Biology, Physics and Chemistry as major subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. The admission is offered through a State-Level entrance test i.e. AP EAMCET conducted by the Government of AP.

At the postgraduate level, the college offers Pharm. D (Regular and PB) and M.Pharrm programs at PG level. Candidates who have passed B.Pharm are eligible to apply for the Pharm.D program. Admission to Pharm. D and M.Pharm programs are granted on the basis of merit in GPAT or AP PGECET.

For non-sponsored candidates, the selection is done on the basis of GPAT score only. For sponsored and self-supporting candidates, admission will be offered on the basis of AP PGECET score.

Note: The college also offers Pharm.D (PB) course on the basis of AP EAMCET score to those candidates who have passed B.Pharm from a recognized institution.

SVCP Application Process 2022

Candidates who wish to apply can visit the website of SVCP. After the declaration of the merit list, the candidates may visit the AP EAMCET or AP PGECET portal (whatever applicable) in order to mark their score.

Note: In order to avail admission under Management Quota, students are advised to register themselves at the administrative office of the college with mark sheet (with one set of photocopies) of the respective qualifying examination.

Library

Library and Information center, SVCP is one of the best Pharmacy college libraries in the state. It started its function with a vision to serve the information needs of its users and it mainly holds books related to Pharmacy and allied subjects. Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy established its library in the year 1997, with an area of 398.45 Sq.m. It is air-conditioned. The library collection is about 13095 Volumes and 2976 titles. The library’s rich collection contains Abstracts, Yearbooks, Textbooks, Theses, and Dissertations, Encyclopedias, and General Books and novels. The library is also subscribing to 39 National journals, 20 International Journals, and 42 General Magazines.

The college has a playground, and all indoor gaming facilities.
Cafeteria

The canteen at SVES caters to food that is nutritional and tasty. Food is prepared to satisfy students (both vegetarian and Non-vegetarian).
Auditorium

The college has two fully air-conditioned, well furnished, and spacious auditoriums with a seating capacity of 1000 and 300 people. The auditorium is well furnished with the contemporary state-of-the-art equipment with excellent acoustic facilities. The halls facilitate sophisticated audio visual equipment, high-quality presentations, video conferencing, and live media streaming.
Medical/Hospital

Health Care Centre at SVES has a resident general physician and a psychiatrist. A gynecologist visits the center during the appointed hours. It is equipped with supporting medical devices and an inpatient facility with two beds.

Laboratorie

The college has a high-tech, well-equipped laboratories in the Departments of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, and Pharmacy Practice, which serve as a strong framework for our graduates to help them develop capabilities to become world-class pharmacists and scientists. There is a multimedia English Language Lab with all the sophisticated equipment, especially to train students in communicative aspects of English. SVES is home to a world-class pool with 80 feet long 40 feet width six lanes containing 4,05,000 liters of water.
