The Society is registered as vide Reg. No. 24 of 2006 dated 17-01-2006 under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 35 of 2001.

Science and Technology have emerged major factors in the sustenance of the society.They are changing the world with a matchless speed and magnitude.In this scenario , to create competent technocrats, an ideal institution with good ambience, infrastructure and eminent faculty is required.

With an objective to create technically skillful professionals and to extend the legacy of success in industry to the arena of education, KALLAM GROUP OF INDUSTRIES chairman Sri KALLAM HARANADHA REDDY under the aegis of KALLAM ACADEMY OF EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY , established the “KALLAM HARANADHAREDDY INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY” in 2010 at chowdavaram. The college provides a lush green and peaceful environment which is located at about 10 kms away from guntur towards chilakaluripet on NH-5.

Admissions to the courses offered at KHIT Guntur are offered on the basis of various entrance exams.

Admission to the B.Tech course is done on the basis of rank obtained in the JEE or AP EAMCET entrance exam and consecutive counseling procedure.
Candidates shall have a valid CAT score for admission to KHIT Guntur MBA program.
GATE and AP PGECET exams are accepted for admission to the M.Tech program.
Candidates must qualify for AP POLYCET for admission to Diploma in engineering courses.
Merit-based or direct admission: These admissions are offered in the case of vacant seats which is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying exam. The applicant must pass the qualifying degree with a 50% aggregate marks for direct admission.

How to Apply?

Students must visit the KHIT Guntur official website @khitguntur.ac.in.
Register yourself with a valid email id and phone number.
After filling the registration form, the student will be registered for a particular course. These credentials should be remembered by the candidate for future use.
After the successful registration, the applicant should log in to the admission portal of the college and fill in all the information carefully like personal details, educational details, etc.
Now, the student needs to select the course, application mode, exam score, other details for the further counseling process.
When a student comes after declaring University merit for admission, the applicant should physically visit the campus for admissions.
The verification authority will be checking all the necessary documents in original and other information as required in the admission form.
After the document submission, the candidate shall submit the fees along with the admission form and related documents on the fees counter itself.

Boys Hostel
The College provides separate hostel facility for boys. Boys hostel is located on the college campus. Strict discipline is followed in the hostels. The students are not allowed to use any electronic gadgets (i.e. cellphone, laptops, walkman etc.). The Hostel daily provides breakfast (with milk/coffee), lunch, Snacks (with milk/tea) and dinner. There are separate Hostel committees for boys’ hostel headed by conveners, which monitor the running of hostels.

Library
The College proposed Integrated Campus have a centralized library. The area of the library is 500 Sq.m. to facilitate stacking and reading area, E-class room and computer facilities for a digital library. A well-furnished reading hall is provided with the required books of reference in different subjects.
Sports
The college took the responsibility not only to provide the necessary infrastructure that helps the students to inculcate a good habit of playing games but also to develop the sportsmanship and comradeship. The college is provided with Indoor games also in an area of nearly 300 Sq.m, which is furnished with Gymnasium and accommodating the indoor games like Table Tennis, Caroms, Chess etc., to horn the skills in the respective games as well as to enhance the physical fitness of the students and faculty. Cafeteria
The college has a spacious canteen facility in the college premises and is run by the college management. A variety of south Indian food and snack items are provided to the students and staff of the college at highly subsidized rates with the highest quality. Canteen has a big kitchen with steam cooking facility and kitchen staff take extra care to provide the students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food in the campus canteen. Food items are prepared with RO treated water.
Auditorium
The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminar.
Medical/Hospital
The college has a health centre with a first aid facility for the students.
IT Infrastructure
The college has IT Infrastructure with computer labs. It is proposed to build a centralized computer centre with latest hardware specifications, server and LAN / WAN facility to produce competent engineers having higher technical proficiency, professional skills appreciation of societal responsibility. It will be in a Centralized Air Conditioned area. This centre will be constantly upgraded with state-of-the-art systems.
Transport
The college is providing transport facility to our students only from Guntur to College and back covering all points in Guntur town. All the buses start at Guntur at 8.00 a.m. and back at 4.40 p.m.There is a Transport Committee with staff and students with 50 members observing transport facility for students and maintaining discipline and anti-ragging in the buses. The Committee discusses the problems regarding transport facility and takes disciplinary action if necessary.

All stationery items are made available in the stores at reasonable rates, fixed by the college management. It also provides light refreshment like packed snack items, cakes, veg. puff, beverages etc to the students and staff of the college.
