Guru Brahmanand Ji Government Polytechnic, Nilokheri, established in 1947, is one of the oldest and most reputed government polytechnic institutes in Northern India. Initially started as the Government School of Engineering at Rasool (now in Pakistan), it was relocated post-partition to Chhachhrauli and later shifted to Nilokheri in 1951. Over the years, the institution has evolved both in name and structure, finally being renamed in honor of Guru Brahmanand Ji. It is affiliated with the Haryana State Board of Technical Education (HSBTE), Panchkula, and approved by AICTE and the Department of Technical Education, Haryana.
The institute offers a range of three-year diploma programs in various engineering disciplines including Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Instrumentation & Control Engineering. These programs are designed for students who have completed their 10th standard, and admissions are granted based on merit through centralized online counselling. The curriculum is practical and industry-oriented, aiming to equip students with technical skills and professional readiness.
