
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has again revised IBPS PO vacancies 2020. The vacancies have been revised to 3,517. This is the third time that IBPS PO vacancies 2020 has been revised. Earlier, the vacancies were revised to 1,417. Initially, a total of 1,167 IBPS PO 2020 vacancies were announced. The number of vacancies announced this year is less compared to last year. Last year, a total of 4,336 vacancies were announced. IBPS PO vacancies are announced category-wise and bank-wise along with the notification.Â
The number of participating banks also reduced compared to last year due to the merger of 10 Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) banks. This year, the number of participating banks is 11, whereas, it was 17 last year. Candidates selected against the vacancies will be entitled to a basic salary of Rs 23700 – (980 x 7) – 30560 – (1145 x 2) – 32850 – (1310 x 7) – 42020. This means after seven years, the basic salary will be Rs 30,560. The basic salary after 7+2 years it will be Rs 32, 850. The basic salary of IBPS PO after 7+2+7 years will be Rs 42,020. Candidates are also entitled to House Rent Allowance (HRA), Dearness Allowance (DA), Special Allowance (SA) and Compensatory allowance.
The online tests of IBPS PO are conducted in two phases, Preliminary and Mains exams. Qualified candidates of mains exam are required to appear for an interview. The final selection for the provisional allotment is done based on the candidates’ performance in the mains exam and interview.
