Basically, it’s an entrance exam that selects candidates for multiple posts such as Agriculture Field Officer, Marketing Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, IT Officer, Law Officer, and Rajbhasha Adhikari. Banks release vacancy separately and IBPS conducts the exams for all banks collectively. IBPS SO exam has three phases, prelims, mains followed by personal interview. IBPS has specified certain eligibility criteria for the aspirants who are going to appear for IBPS SO 2020. These criteria have been given below:
Nationality/Citizenship: According to IBPS SO Notification, an aspirant must be holding Indian citizenship or be a subject of Nepal/ Bhutan. Apart from that, candidates who are Tibetan Refugees and came to India before January 1, 1962, are also eligible. Besides, those who are Indian by origin and migrated from Pakistan/ Burma/ Sri Lanka/ Kenya/ Uganda/ the United Republic of Tanzania/ Zambia/ Malawi/ Zaire/ Ethiopia/ Vietnam to India forever can also appear for the exam.
Age Limit: The aspirants must be between 20 and 30 years as on November 1, 2020
