As a minimum criterion of eligibility, candidates aspiring for admission to the course need to have attained the 10+2 or equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects.
Eligible candidates can subsequently appear for the JEE exam or another institute-specific entrance exam for admission to the course, or apply for a college-specific management quota, if applicable.
- A candidate must hold a graduate/post graduate degree with a minimum of 10+2+4 years of formal education with Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognized university/institute.
- Candidates, who are in the final year, are also eligible to apply provided they complete their formal education.
- Candidates should have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination recognized by AICTE and State Government in Physics and Mathematics subjects along with Chemistry / Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study. Students must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC).
The admission test will comprise multiple-choice and/or short-answer type questions on Basic Mathematics. And for an interview, good detailed conceptual knowledge about the subject is required.
