BIT Mesra B.Tech Admission 2021
Candidates seeking admission in B.Tech Course at BIT Mesra have to fill the application form from here as per schedule mention below. Candidates selected for the courses on the basis of merit. Schedule for the BIT Mesra B.Tech Admission 2021 is given below.

Eligibile candidates can apply online for admission into B.Tech/B.Arch courses at BIT Mesra at various centers from the official websiteon or before the last date of application form. Candidates are advised must ensure their eligibility and other conditions before filling the online application form. Candidates can also fill their application from the direct link which will be provided.
Application Fee
- Rs.1,000/- for General / OBC candidates
- Rs.750/- for SC/ST candidates
- To fill an online application form, click on the link “APPLY ONLINE” to register and create a password for the application process. Do not share the password with anybody. Please see the instructions for filling the online application form.
- Eligible candidates must complete and submit the application form online only. Pay application fee of Rs.1,000/- (General / OBC candidates) and Rs.750/- (SC/ST candidates) inclusive of GST charges through State Bank Collect (net banking/credit card of any nationalized bank) in favor of “Birla Institute of Technology” till the last date of the application process. Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
- Please use the separate application form for each campus with available branches in order of preference (either at BIT Deoghar or BIT Jaipur or BIT Patna) and in case applying for more than one Campus, pay the additional application fee, as applicable.
- The choices of the branch must be filled-in carefully in prudential order since choices, once filled-in, cannot be modified after submission of application form throughout the counseling process.
Notes:
- Candidates should proceed to fill the Online Application Form only after they satisfy themselves that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria.

Notes:
- Candidates with foreign diplomas should see the EdCIL website for equivalence and if required should obtain an equivalence certificate from the evaluation division of the AIU
- In case any Board awards grades instead of marks, the calculation of the equivalent percentage of marks would be multiplied GPA/CGPA by 10 or based on the procedure prescribed by the Board.
- Candidate must have adequate proficiency in written & spoken English to cope up with the programme as all instructions and examinations will be in English only.
- At any level of the studies [Class X or Class XII], a candidate/applicant must have passed all the required subjects at that level from the same Board.
BIT Mesra B.Tech Admission 2021 Eligibility Criteria
- Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1 October 1996 are eligible for admission. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates who were born on or after 1 October 1990 are eligible for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board (Class X, High School) certificate only will be taken as authentic.
- Candidate must have passed in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII), or its equivalent, referred to as the qualifying examination.
- Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.E. programme
1. Language, 2-Physics, 3-Mathematics, 4- Any one of (Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subject), 5- Any other Subject [Physics and Mathematics are as compulsory and one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.] With at least 45% marks and 40% in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates in each of the subjects. - The candidate must have appeared in JEE (Main) and should have secured a valid overall AIR (CRL Rank) in JEE (Main).
- BC-I / BC-II of Jharkhand State for admission at BIT Deoghar Campus: The candidates must have passed their qualifying exam from the State of Jharkhand and should be BC-I (EBC)/ BC-II (OBC) of Jharkhand State only. A certificate should have been issued on or after 1 st April.
- BC-I / BC-II of Bihar State for admission at BIT Patna Campus: The candidates must have passed their qualifying exam from the State of Bihar and should be BC-I (EBC)/BC-II (OBC)/ BC (OBC) Girls of Bihar State only. A certificate should have been issued on or after 1st April.
Other Notes:
- Hostel facilities are available only at BIT Deoghar and BIT Patna Campus only. Hostel mess charges may range from approximately Rs.2,500/- to Rs.3,000/- per month.
- In addition to the above, students at BIT Deoghar & BIT Patna Campuses will also be required to deposit Hostel Caution Money* (One Time only – Refundable) of Rs.5,000/-. They will also be required to pay suitable mess advance at the beginning of each semester, which will be adjusted against their mess charges/expenditure. For the session July 2021, this mess advance will be Rs. 18,000/- (Rs. 13,000/- for Girls at BIT Patna Campus only).
- All payments must be made online through State Bank Collect. For details, please go through the instructions given on the Institute website. [Candidate may use the net banking or credit card payment through any nationalized bank].
- Students will be expected to provide themselves with stationery and textbooks, etc, as prescribed for different subjects.
- The Institute reserves the right to revise the fees and other charges at any stage.

Selection Process
Provisional selections to B.Tech programme will be made on merit:
- Based on AIR (CRL Rank) obtained by the candidates in JEE (MAIN) 2021 conducted by CBSE, New Delhi. However, candidates must meet the age criteria and other minimum academic requirements.
- Based on various reservation criteria of State and Central Government [see section 06 for distribution of seats at each Campus].

Document Verification
List of documents to carry at the time of reporting for admission cum document verification:
- A print-out of the electronically generated online application form.
- One recent color photograph – [same as uploaded on the form]
- Proof / receipt of application fee of Rs.1,000/- (General/BC) and Rs.750/- (SC/ST) candidates (non-refundable).
- Candidates would be required to have the following original certificates and documents at the time of reporting for admission cum document verification, as well as one set of photocopies of all these documents:
- Pass certificate of Class 10
- Marksheet of Class 10
- Marksheet of Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent
- Admit Card of JEE (MAIN) 2021
- Score Card of JEE (MAIN) 2021
- School / College Leaving Certificate
- Migration Certificate
- Caste certificate (if applicable), which should be in proper format and signed by an appropriate authority of rank not less than SDO.
- Candidates belonging to other special categories [Person with Disability / Kashmiri Migrant] must provide the certificate in proper format from an appropriate authority.
- Photo identification: (Driving license, Passport, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card / Voter ID, School / College ID are acceptable)
- Requisite initial fee of Rs. 1,49,000/- for BIT Patna, Rs.1,48,500/- for BIT Deoghar and Rs.1,35,500/- for BIT Jaipur Campuses.

Reservations
- For all programmes at the Institute which are supported by any of the respective State Governments, the reservation criteria for the state quota are as per the norms of the respective State Government.
- For all other programmes the reservation criteria for SC & ST are as per the statutory norms of Central Govt. (SC -15% & ST – 7.5%)
- The Institute observes statutory reservation for Persons with Disability (5%).
- Up to 1 seat at all above Off Campuses may be allotted to the candidates who are Sons or Daughters of Kashmiri Migrant who otherwise have qualified for admissions.
- At BIT Deoghar, BIT Jaipur and BIT Patna Campuses, 50% of the total seats are reserved for candidates who have passed their qualifying examination (Class 12) from the state where Campus is located. (The “State of Eligibility” of a candidate for the purpose will be determined on the basis of the location of his/her School / College where he/she has passed the Class 12/qualifying examination). [In case sufficient numbers of suitable candidates from any group are not available, the Institute reserves the right to fill the seats from the other group].
