The CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is an important examination for students aspiring to pursue higher education in various undergraduate programs. NTA has announced that the CUET 2024 will be conducted in the month of May 2024 (May 15 – 31). The application form is expected to be released in the first week of February 2024. The CUET 2024 will be the gateway to approximately 250+ universities across the country for UG admissions. This will be one of the biggest UG entrance carnivals in the country, as admissions will be done on the basis of the CUET 2024 scorecard of the candidate. The competition to get a seat in the top universities with your desired course will be tough.
This CUET 2024 entrance exam opens doors to approximately 44 central universities, state institutions, private universities, deemed universities, and other esteemed educational institutions. Anticipating the CUET 2024 examination, candidates must be prepared to access the CUET 2024 application forms, set to be released by NTA in February 2024, from the CUET 2024 official website – cuet.samarth.ac.in.

CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The first thing that you must be aware of CUET 2024 is the eligibility criteria. It is a set of required parameters including educational qualification, age limit, and nationality that you must fulfill to be eligible for registering and appearing in the test. Apart from the general CUET 2024 eligibility criteria, universities are also expected to announce their separate eligibility criteria. Aspiring students are advised to visit the respective university website to check their criteria before filling out the CUET 2024 application form.
Based on the previous year’s guidelines, for appearing in the CUET 2024 exam, there will be no upper age limit. The candidates who have passed the class 12th/equivalent examination with 45% (A 5% relaxation will be provided to category students) or more marks or are appearing in 2024 irrespective of their age can fill out the CUET 2024 application form and appear in NTA CUET 2024 (UG).
CUET 2024 Application Form
There is no official confirmation regarding the NTA CUET 2024, but the details will be released in due time. The candidates are to visit the official website of CUET when the form is released and do their CUET registration, and subsequently fill out the application form before the last date. The students are advised to go through the detailed notification thoroughly before filling out the form.
The first step in filling out the CUET application form 2024 is CUET registration. Candidates must follow these steps to fill out the CUET registration form 2024:
Step 1: Click on the “Register” button for fresh CUET (UG) – 2024 registration.
Step 2: Download and read the Information Bulletin carefully before applying.
Step 3: Fill out the registration form which includes Personal Details and Present Address. Thereafter, choose the password and enter the security pin, then click on Submit.
Step 4: Validate the details in the preview application section and then click on “Submit and Send OTP on mobile”. If required, you can edit your credentials at this stage.
Step 5: Complete the verification process by entering the OTP received on your registered mobile number/email ID.
After you complete your CUET registration process, you can log in to your personal dashboard by entering the CUET login details and start filling out the CUET 2024 application form.

CUET 2024 Exam Pattern
The CUET 2024 exam pattern is expected to be the same as this year. The exam will be held in three different slots and the paper will be divided into three sections. The sections are – Section IA & IB (language test), Section II (domain-specific subjects), and Section III (general test). In total, a candidate can choose a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 subjects combining all three sections.

The NTA is expected to follow the same marking scheme for the CUET 2024 exam as it was in 2023. Which is, 5 marks for every correct attempt, and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect attempt. However, there will be no penalty for unattempted questions.

In case of any dropped question (Question for which correct options were not available in the paper), full marks will be awarded to the students who have attempted it.

CUET 2024 Syllabus
More than 3 lakh UG seats will be up for grabs for various courses across 250+ participating universities, including 47 central and several other (state, private, and deemed) Universities in India. With every passing year, the CUET is getting more competitive and difficult. NTA CUET 2024 is going to be a level up from its previous edition.
While preparing for CUET 2024 candidates will need to take care of their Board preparations as well. Therefore it is very important that they go through the detailed CUET as well as the Boards syllabus so that they can take adequate preparation measures for both.
There are no changes expected in the CUET 2024 syllabus. The domain-specific subjects syllabus will be the same as the NCERT syllabus for Class XII (Whole), but none of the boards cover the whole NCERT class 12th syllabus in 12th. Candidates have to put in some extra effort to cover the difference. The NCERT books will be the best source of preparation for the domain-specific paper.
CUET Admit Card 2024
The CUET Admit Card is the hall ticket to the examination room. Without the CUET Admit Card, a candidate will not be allowed to sit in the exam. So, ensure that you download, take a printout, and don’t forget to carry it with you to the examination center on the day of the exam.
A separate exam city slip and CUET admit card will be issued by the NTA. Candidates need to log in to their personal dashboard on the official website of CUET and directly download it by entering their application number & date of birth (DOB) or application number and password.

- A new admit card window will appear on the screen.
- Enter the required credentials in the given space.

CUET 2024 Results & Answer Key
The NTA will release the provisional CUET 2024 answer key a few days/weeks after the exam. Candidates can download the provisional CUET answer key from the official website to tally their responses and raise objections by challenging it. It is to be noted that there will be a fee charged for each challenge the student raises. After the challenges are evaluated by the expert team of the NTA & CUET, and then the NTA will release a final answer key. The CUET 2024 exam results will be announced based on the final answer key only.
