On the first day of IIT Kanpur placements in 2023, the institute received a total of 485 job offers, including 12 international offers, which was a decrease compared to the previous year. However, by the eighth day, the institute managed to secure a total of 891 job offers, with 21 students being placed in international firms. Professor S Ganesh, the director of IIT Kanpur, congratulated the students and expressed his appreciation for the relentless efforts of the Students’ Placement Office in successfully completing the first phase of this year’s placement season. He also expressed gratitude to all the recruiters who showed trust in the students and the institute by offering valuable opportunities within their organizations. This trust and collaboration greatly contribute to the professional journeys of the students. Professor Raju Kumar Gupta, the chairperson of the Students’ Placement Office, extended a warm invitation to esteemed industries and startups for the upcoming second phase of placements, which is scheduled to begin in mid-January 2024. He emphasized the institute’s anticipation of their involvement in shaping the future careers of IIT Kanpur students and expressed gratitude for their ongoing contribution to the institute’s journey of success.
