JEE Main 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the JEE Mains 2024 exam dates for Session 1 and 2 on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. As per the schedule, NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2024 session 1 from January 24 to February 1, 2024. The second session will be held from April 1 to April 15, 2024. Candidates can check below the JEE Main 2024 notification with details of exam dates.

It is important for the candidates to check the JEE Main official website for notifications regarding admission. A direct link will also be updated on this page once it is released. Candidates need to complete the JEE Main 2024 registration to appear for the exam. The registration will be done online. Eligible candidates (10+2 exam with PCM) can appear for the IIT JEE Main. What Is JEE Main 2024?

JEE Main is the exam conducted by the NTA for admission to BE/BTech and BArch/BPlan courses at NITs, IITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. JEE Main 2024 is also the eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which is conducted for admission to IITs. The top 2,50,000 JEE Main qualifiers are considered eligible for the JEE Advanced exam. JEE Main 2024 will have three papers: Paper 1 is for admission to the BE/BTech course; Paper 2A is for BArch admission; and Paper 2B is for BPlan course admission. The total duration will be three hours and will have Multiple Choice (MCQ) and Integer Value (Numerical Value Answer) type questions. JEE Main 2024 Paper 1 will have a total of 90 questions, and Papers 2A and 2B will have 82 and 105 questions, respectively.

JEE Main 2024 Registration

The application form for JEE Main 2024 will be released tentatively in December. JEE Main 2024 application form will be available online at jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Main 2024 will be conducted for two sessions (January and April). Candidates will be able to apply from the JEE Main official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, for the 2024 JEE Main application form. • Click on the “JEE Main 2024 registration” link.
• Fill the required details and click on the “Submit” button.
• Once registration is completed, candidates will receive an email and text message at their registered email ID and mobile phone number with details of the application form number and password. Save the details of your registration.
• Now, after completing the registration, candidates will be redirected to the page for filling out the detailed application form. Provide educational qualifications, parents details, the address of communication and permanent address, and the exam center of preference.
• Upload the scanned images of your passport-size and signature.
• Now, pay the application fee.
• Automatically, the JEE Main 2024 application form will be submitted after the successful payment.
• Download the filled-out JEE Main 2024 application form and take its printout. Candidates should keep a print copy of the application form safe until the admissions process is completed.

JEE Main 2024: Payment Mode

The JEE Main 2024 application fee can be submitted via online payment gateways. Candidates can submit fee through debit card/credit card (except Master/Visa Card)/Net Banking/UPI.

JEE Main 2024 Application Correction

JEE Main 2024 application correction facility will be provided at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates will be able to make corrections via the online link provided by entering their login details. It must be noted that corrections in applications will be available only in some specific details. Also, corrections will not be entertained by NTA through any offline modes, such as post/email/fax/WhatsApp/or by hand.

JEE Main 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The NTA will release the JEE Main 2024 eligibility criteria along with the notification. It will include the conditions and requirements that students must meet to be eligible for admission through JEE Main.

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board.
• For JEE Main 2024, there is no age limit. Only those candidates who have passed Class 12 in 2022, 2023, or are appearing in 2024 are eligible, irrespective of their age.
• It is necessary for a candidate to be qualified in five subjects: Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject or any other subject.
• Those candidates who want to take admission for B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Plan in IITs, NITs and CFTIs should have to secure 75% marks (65% for SC/ST category candidates) or fall under the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.
• For BArch admission other than IITs, NITs, and CFTIs, candidates should have to score 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent. 

JEE Main 2024 Exam Pattern

The JEE Main 2024 examination consists of three papers, namely Paper 1, Paper 2A, and Paper 2B. 

• Those candidates who want to join BE/BTech courses shall attempt Paper 1.
• Those candidates willing to join BArch courses go for Paper 2A, and Paper 2B is for the BPlanning course. 
• In JEE Main 2024 Paper 1, Maths, Chemistry and Physics will be covered, while Maths, Aptitude and Drawing Tests will be covered in Paper 2A.
• In Paper 2B, questions focusing on Maths, Aptitude and Planning will be included.

The JEE Main 2024 is undoubtedly one of the most difficult exams conducted at the national level by the National Testing Agency. Candidates who will prepare for the exam can practice the NTA JEE Main mock test online free. The mock test level that will be made available on the NTA portal is the same as the JEE Main exam. • JEE Main 2024 Admit Card

  The NTA will release the JEE Main 2024 Admit Card on its official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in one or two days prior to the exam. It will include the exam schedule, address of the exam centre, basic details of the candidates like name, photo, signature, and details of the paper for which he or she will appear. Candidates wishing to download the JEE Main 2024 hall ticket require an application number and date of birth/password. Candidates must carry a photo ID card along with the JEE Main 2024 admit card to the examination hall.

  JEE Main 2024: How To Download The Admit Card?

  The JEE Main 2024 city intimation slip will contain the details, including the candidates’ names, roll numbers, exam locations, and exam centre dates and times. Note that the exam city slip and the JEE main admit card are two separate documents.   JEE Main 2024: Answer Key

  The JEE Main 2024 Answer Key will be released by the NTA on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in after the completion of the exam. Below are the steps mentioned to check the JEE Mains 2024 Answer Key.

  • Open the NTA’s official website and click on the JEE Main 2023 answer key link.
  • Candidates will have to log in by either entering their date of birth along with the application number or the application number with the password. 
  • After logging in, the candidates can check and download their JEE Main 2023 Answer Key.

  Candidates will also get the chance to challenge the JEE Main 2024 Answer Key. Challenges made by the candidates will be reviewed by the panel of subject experts. If the challenge of a candidate is found correct, then the answer key will be updated accordingly. The JEE Main 2024 result will be prepared and made public based on the updated final answer key. No candidate will be informed if his or her challenge is accepted or rejected. The answer key finalised by the experts is considered final.

  JEE Main 2024 Result

  The NTA for the January session will release the JEE Main 2024 result in the last week of January or the first week of February 2024. The result will determine who is eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam in 2024 and the All India Ranks (AIR), which will be considered for admission to IITs, NITs, IITs, CFTIs, SFTIs, and other institutions.

  JEE Main 2024 Cut Off

  The JEE main cutoff 2024 will be released by the authorities along with the result in an online mode. The JEE Main cutoff is the minimum mark required to qualify for the exam. Therefore, the qualifying cutoff and admission cutoff are different. The admission cutoff will be issued by the JoSAA. It is the minimum rank required to get admission to the participating institute. The cutoff for JEE Main 2024 will vary for categories, branches, and institutes.

  JEE Main 2024 Counselling

  The counselling for JEE Main will be carried out online by JoSAA. Candidates who will be selected based on the NTA JEE 2024 result will be eligible to apply for the JEE Mains 2024 counselling in order to enroll in IITs, NITs over the course of six rounds.

  The counselling process for JEE Main consists of the following steps, as mentioned below:

  Registration: Candidates need to log in with their JEE Main roll number and password. After logging in, candidates will provide the basic details.

  Choice filling: After doing registration, candidates have to make the choice of course and institute. It is to be noted that the choices should be made in order of preference.

  Choice Locking: After filling out the choices, candidates now need to lock the choice. Before locking the choice, candidates have to check their preferences, as once the choice is locked, there will be no chance of making changes. Finally, take a printout of the locked choice.
