The results for session 1 of the Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE Main 2024) will be announced today for paper 1 and 2A, 2B. Students who took the JEE Main BE, BTech exam and BArch, BPlanning will be able to access and download their scorecards from jeemain.nta.ac.in and nta.ac.in. The JEE Main session 1 examinations for BE, BTech paper 1 were conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from January 27 to February 1. On the other hand, paper 2 took place in the second shift on January 24. As per previous patterns, the JEE Main 2024 result is anticipated to be announced later today.

The JEE Main results for the year 2024 will be determined by the subject experts who will review the challenges raised by the students and prepare the final answer key. The results for each session will be presented in the form of NTA raw scores and percentile scores based on the total raw scores. To calculate the JEE Main 2024 percentiles for session 1, the following formula will be utilized.

The given formula calculates the percentage of candidates who scored equal to or lower than a particular candidate in a session. It is derived by multiplying the number of candidates who achieved a raw score equal to or less than the candidate by 100, and then dividing it by the total number of candidates who appeared in that session.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the scores of all candidates in the BE and BTech sessions 1 and 2 of JEE Main 2024 will be combined to determine the final results and create the overall merit list and JEE Main ranking. It is important for students who have registered for both sessions to be aware that only the highest NTA score will be taken into consideration.

The outcomes of candidates who are discovered to have provided incorrect information or engaged in unfair practices will be invalidated and withheld from being announced.

The JEE Mains examination for the year 2024 took place across 544 centers in 291 cities, which included 21 cities outside of India. A significant number of 12,25,529 candidates appeared for both paper 1 and 2. Out of this total, 11,70,036 candidates appeared for the BE and BTech paper, while 55,493 candidates appeared for the BArch and BPlanning paper.

This year, the number of female students who registered for the exam was 406,920, while the number of male students was 824,945. Additionally, there were 9 transgender students who also registered. The National Testing Agency (NTA) reported a high attendance rate of 95.8% for the BTech paper this year.
