UPSC CDS 2024 registrations end today, exam on April 21

The registration for Combined Defence Services (CDS 1) will come to an end today, January 9, as announced by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The application form for UPSC CDS 2024 was made available online on December 20, along with the official notification. Candidates have the opportunity to fill out the UPSC CDS 1 application form 2024 until 6 pm today on the official website, upsc.gov.in.

The CDS and NDA exams are conducted twice a year by the UPSC. According to the timetable, the UPSC CDS 1 exam for the year 2024 is scheduled to take place on April 21 at different examination centers nationwide. On September 1, 2024, the CDS II exam will be conducted, and the notification for the same will be released on May 15.

UPSC CDS 1 Exam 2024: Eligibility

Applicants must hold a degree from an accredited university in order to be considered as candidates. In order to join the Navy, individuals must possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, whereas to gain admission into the Air Force Academy, they must have successfully completed Physics and Chemistry in Class 12, in addition to holding a bachelor’s degree.

For those interested in taking the CDS exam for the Air Force and Navy, the age requirement is between 19 and 23. However, for those applying to the Officers Training Academy, the age range is between 19 and 24.

UPSC CDS 2024: Exam pattern

The Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Navy Academy (INA), and Air Force Academy (AFA) are all subjected to a common CDS exam conducted by UPSC. However, the Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) has a separate exam. Below, candidates can find the exam pattern for UPSC CDS 1.
