Students must ensure that they have their XAT admit card 2024 and a valid photo ID in their possession when they arrive at the examination center. Access to the exam hall will strictly be denied to candidates who fail to present their admit card.

XAT 2024 will have a duration of three hours and 30 minutes. The exam will take place from 2 pm to 5:30 pm. This year, the exam authority has shifted the timings from the morning session to the afternoon session. Previously, the test used to be conducted from 9:30 am to 12:40 pm.

Candidates are advised to arrive at the XAT 2024 examination center at least one hour before the exam begins.

As per the XAT 2024 exam pattern, the question paper will consist of five sections – decision making, general knowledge, quantitative ability and data interpretation, analytical essay writing, and verbal and logical reasoning.

This year, there has been a 40% increase in XAT 2024 registrations compared to the previous year. A total of 1,35,000 students have applied for the exam.

XAT 2024: Instructions for the day of the exam

1. Make sure to bring a ballpoint pen, two hard copies of your admit card, a photo ID, and one passport-size photograph.
2. Remember to self-attest the self-declaration form before you arrive at the exam center.
3. It is important to reach the exam center before the reporting time to avoid any last-minute complications.
4. Please note that electronic devices such as mobile phones, pagers, watches, iPads, and calculators are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
5. Kindly refrain from carrying any food items into the exam hall.
6. Avoid wearing jewelry and heavy outfits on the day of the exam.
7. XAT 2024 will be conducted in 79 cities across the country. The scores obtained in XAT will be accepted by more than 160 institutes for admission to their management programs.

XAT 2024: Essential Guidelines to Follow

Outlined below are the crucial guidelines to adhere to on the day of the XAT 2024 examination. It is imperative for candidates to strictly adhere to these guidelines in order to ensure a smooth and trouble-free exam day.

Carry a ballpoint pen, two copies of admit card, photo ID and a passport size photo.	Don’t carry any stationary item other than a pen. Don’t carry electronic items including mobile phones, pager, watch, ipad and calculator.
Revise main topics and formulae once in the morning.	Don’t carry eatables inside the exam venue.
Use the same photo on XAT admit card as uploaded with the application form.	Don’t carry bag or valuables to the examination centre.
Reach the XAT exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.	Don’t reach late. Gates will be closed at 1:50 PM.
Wear simple outfits with plain cardigans and sweaters.	Don’t wear jewellery and jacket on the exam day.
Submit a copy of admit card and rough sheets to the invigilator.	Don’t carry rough sheet with yourself while coming out of the test room.
Stay inside the test lab until the end of the exam	Don’t resist frisking or identification procedures at the exam centre.
