JEE Main 2024: Image correction facility ends today at jeemain.nta.ac.in; required specifications

Candidates will receive notification regarding the examination cities for session 1 in the second week of January 2024. The JEE Main session 1 exam is scheduled to take place from January 24 to February 1. The application process for the second session of JEE Main 2024 will commence on February 2 and conclude on March 2, 2024.

The image correction facility for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 will be brought to a close by the National Testing Agency (NTA) today, January 6. Aspiring candidates for the engineering entrance examination can review and modify their photograph on the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in, until 11:50 pm.

After noticing that certain candidates had uploaded photographs that did not meet the necessary specifications, NTA has given applicants the chance to rectify this issue. To ensure their application is not rejected, students must upload the appropriate image in their JEE Main 2024 application form.

As per NTA, the photograph of candidate should meet the following specifications:

The photograph must be taken recently.
The dimensions of the photograph should be passport size, ranging from 10 kb to 200 kb.
The recent photograph can be either in color or black and white.
The candidate’s face, including the ears, should be visible and cover 80 percent of the photograph, without wearing a mask.
The photograph should be taken against a white background.
Wearing spectacles is permissible only if they are regularly used.
Photographs produced by Polaroid cameras or computer-generated images will not be accepted.

It has been notified by the examination authority that applications for JEE Main 2024 that do not adhere to these instructions or contain unclear photographs will be subject to rejection. Furthermore, application forms submitted without a photograph will also be rejected. Candidates are not required to have their photographs attested. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has advised them to keep six to eight passport size color photographs with a white background.

Applicants are advised to take note that in the event that the photographs uploaded are discovered to be altered, distorted, or appear to be manually or digitally created, their application will be rejected and deemed as an act of utilizing unfair means. NTA has cautioned candidates regarding this matter. NTA has granted candidates the opportunity to make changes to their application forms from December 6 to 8, 2023. The first session of the JEE Main exam for the year 2024 is scheduled for January 24, 2024. The examinations will be conducted until February 1.
