The Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh also known as CUH is a central university that emerged in the year 2009. It is one of the 15 central universities established by MHRD, Govt. of India under the 11th five-year plan of 2007-2012. Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh is fully funded by the UGC. The main objective of theCentral University of Haryana, Mahendergarh is to educate and provide manpower training for the development of the country, and to disseminate and advance knowledge through innovations and teaching and learning processes in interdisciplinary studies and research.

The Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh aims to develop enlightened citizenship of a knowledge in society for peace, prosperity of individuals, nation and the world, through promotion of innovative learning and creative endeavors. The Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh offers Undergraduate courses in Engineering and Postgraduate courses in various streams like Arts, Science, and Commerce. Admissions at Central University of Haryana courses are done on several entrance exams conducted at the national and state levels.

Central University of Jammu & Kashmir was established in 2011 under Central Universities Act, 2009. The Central University of Jammu & Kashmir is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). CU Jammu is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Central University of Jammu & Kashmir is approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The Central University of Jammu & Kashmir offers courses in the fields of science, management, engineering, arts, education, research, etc. The courses offered by the Central University of Jammu & Kashmir are diploma, B.Sc. (H) and M.Sc. integrated, B.A. and B.Ed. integrated, B.Voc, PG diploma, M.Sc., M.Tech, M.B.A, M.A., M.Ed. and Ph.D. Admission to the courses is based on the merit marks of the candidates in CUCET. For Ph.D programme, UGC/NET/UGC-CSIR NET/SLET/ GATE/M.Phil qualified candidates can apply for admission without CUCET. The university has a total 97 well-qualified faculty members. The total number of students enrolled at present is 1757. Thus, the student-teacher ratio at CU Jammu is 18:1.

The training and placement cell of the Central University of Jammu & Kashmir provides placement assistance to the students.
