Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT), Anand is a State Private University and was established in 1994. CHARUSAT was established under the Gujarat Private University Act, 2009 and empowered under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. CHARUSAT has been conceived by a non-profit premier education trust – Shri Charotar Moti Sattavis Patidar Kelavani Mandal that works with the mission of social service through education. The campus spreads over 120 acres of land. Currently, CHARUSAT offers undergraduate (B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Sc, B.P.T, B.Optom), postgraduate (M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Sc, MPT, PG Diploma in Medical Lab Technology, PG Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis, M.Pharma), Ph.D. programmes, GNM programme in different areas.

Charotar University of Science and Technology is located at Nadiad-Petlad highway in Changa, Gujarat. The nearest railway station is Anand Junction which is 2.5 km away from CHARUSAT. Vadodara Airport is approximately 39 km away from Anand. Nearest Bus Stop is Anand Bus Stop which is 17 km away from Charotar University of Science and Technology. Students can also take a bus, taxi, or cab to reach the CHARUSAT.

Clubs, Committees and Societies:

Entrepreneurship Development and Incubation Cell: This Club encourages the students who want to become entrepreneurs and gives them opportunities to do something in this field.
Career Development and Placement Cell: The members of this Club work to prepare the prospective students for the campus selection programmes and help in the smooth conduction of recruitment drive. The Cell invites various industries and reputed companies for campus recruitment.
CHARUSAT Rural Development Program (CREDP): The aim of this Cell is to improve the standards of school education in the Charotar region. This programme focuses on strengthening infrastructure facilities in schools.
Women Development Cell: This Committee works to create a healthy working environment for women employees and students in CHARUSAT, where they can realise their potential. The Cell aims to empower women through training and aptitude building exercises and programmes.
Equal Opportunity Cell: This Club ensures that there are no biases on the basis of gender, religion, caste, and complexion. This Cell aims to create equal opportunities for the stakeholders (mainly the students and employees) in CHARUSAT.
Cell for Prevention of Sexual Harassment (CPSH): This Cell aims to create a healthy and safe environment for both the genders by establishing guidelines to explain any kind of sexual harassment.
Sports section: The Institute provides sports facilities and encourages the students to participate in indoor and outdoor games for their physical and mental well being.

CHARUSAT Courses

CHARUSAT UG Admission 2022

The admission shall be granted on the basis of merit list prepared by taking into account sixty percentage weight age of marks in theory subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics of all four semesters examination of Std. XI and Std XII Science conducted by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Board in March and 40% weight age of percentile marks of GUJCET examination.

To be eligible in B.tech a candidate should have done 10+2 or HSC by securing minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Math and for others 50% aggregate in HSC from Science stream is required

In BPT/B.Sc (nursing) 85% seats are filled by entrance examination and 15% seats are filled by Charotar University under NRI quota.

GUJCET for admission is conducted by GSEB (Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board).

Exam Details

Demand Draft of Rs 300 as application fee should be submitted at help centers of GSEB to get User ID. This ID is used to fill application forms.

Eligibility table for UG Admission

For admission, a candidate has to sit for GUJCET entrance examination.
Admission is on done on merit basis and in merit list sixty percentage weight age of marks is given to marks obtained in theory subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and 40% weight age of percentile marks of GUJCET examination.
Candidates appearing in JEE need not appear in GUJCET.

CHARUSAT Dual Degree/ BBA/BCA and MBA/MCA Admission 2022

Admission in BCA/BBA course is done on the basis of merit list prepared according to the marks obtained by the applicants. Candidates who have done 12^thwith English (preferably) as a subject are eligible to apply. For Dual Degree course 12^th should be done in Science stream.

Admissions to MBA/MCA are provided by merit list prepared according to the marks scored by the applicants in CMAT entrance examination. Applicants having 50% marks in respective Bachelor degree are eligible.

Application form for BBA/BCA/Dual Degree course are to be downloaded from the University website , forms are also available during office hours at CMPICA, Changa.

For MBA/MCA admission is done through CMAT – Common Management Test conducted by AICTE, New Delhi. Applicants have to fill online Application form by accessing official website . Registration fees for a General male candidate are 1400/- and for females and SC/ST is 700/- is to be paid through SBI Challan/ Debit Card/Credit Card/ Net Banking.

CMAT is a 3-hour Computer Based Test. The candidates are tested on various segments i.e. Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and Language Comprehension.

Applicants willing to take admission in Dual Degree/BCA/BBA course are selected on the basis of merit list prepared according to the marks obtained by the applicants in HSC.
Candidates who have done 12^thwith English (preferably) as a subject are eligible to apply.

Admissions to MBA/MCA are provided by merit list prepared according to the marks scored by the applicants in CMAT entrance examination.

CHARUSAT M.Tech, M.Pharma and MPT Admission 2022

In M.Tech course, a candidate will be admitted on the basis of his performance in PGCET/GATE( whichever is applicable).

Admissions in M.Pharma are done on the basis of GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test).

For MPT admissions are done on the basis of merit list prepared on the basis of performance of candidates in qualifying examination.

To be eligible for the M.Tech course a candidate shall have passed B.E./B.tech. Or equivalent examination with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST/SEBC candidates) marks.

Graduates in Pharmacy or final year students of (10+2 lateral Entry) course whose results will be out before admission are eligible for GPAT.

For MPT admissions candidate should be a graduate in BPT.

For application process in M.Tech. Before applying online, the candidate shall have to procure PIN Cover by paying Rs. 1000/- (non-refundable) per discipline in cash only from the designated branches of Dena Bank.

After online registration, it is mandatory for all candidates to submit a printout of the registration form and self-attested photocopies of the required documents at nearby Help Centre and get Acknowledgement slip cum Hall Ticket for PGCET. All the candidate shall have to bring this Acknowledgement slip Cum Hall Ticket for PGCET at the time of test else he shall not be allowed to appear in the test.

Both GATE qualified candidates and Non GATE candidates shall have to register online. However, GATE qualified candidates have not to appear in PGCET .After admitting GATE qualified candidates having valid GATE qualifying score, the vacant seats, if any will be filled as per merit secured in PGCET.

For M.Pharma applicants they have to register for GPAT by accessing official website .Registration fees for a General male candidate are 1400/- and for females and SC/ST is 700/- is to be paid through SBI Challan/ Debit Card/Credit Card/ Net Banking.

For MPT admissions application form is available on website www.charusat.ac.in or it can also be Collected from Administrative Office, Ashok & Rita Patel Institute of Physiotherapy (ARIP), CHARUSAT Campus, Changa, Anand from 29^th March.

CHARUSAT PG Diploma Admission 2022

For admissions in M.Tech, a candidate should have done BE/B. Tech with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/SEBC candidates) marks.
For admissions in M. Pharma, a candidate should have done B.Pharma with 55% (50% for SC/ST) or equivalent.
For admissions in MPT, a candidate should have done BPT with the minimum 2^nddivision.
Admissions are given in M.Tech on the basis of merit list prepared according to marks obtained in PGCET/GATE.
Admissions are given in M.Pharma on the basis of merit list of the GPAT entrance exam.
In MPT admissions are granted based on the Merit list of the entrance exam of CHARUSAT.

CHARUSAT Ph.D Admission 2022

Admissions in the Ph.D. course is done on the basis of CDET and interview. In Post Doctoral fellowship admission is done on the basis of candidate’s credentials and interview. For Ph.D. admissions candidates with postgraduate (Masters) degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA are eligible.

In Post Doctoral fellowship The minimum qualifications are Doctorate (Ph.D./MD) or equivalent degree.

For Ph.D. admission procedure is carried out twice in a year in June and December.

In Post-Doctoral fellowship, Upon advertisement by CHARUSAT, Candidate can submit their application on plain paper along with updated resume, list of publications, full length articles of two important papers, copies of certificate (B. Sc, M. Sc, PhD/ M. D/ B. Tech, M. Tech/ B.C.A, MCA/ B.B.A, MBA/ B.Pharma, M.Pharma), Two letters of recommendation (academic) etc. The candidate has to submit one or two-page synopsis of proposed research.

The consolidated emoluments shall be given to a fellow while working in CHARUSAT is Rs. 25000/- per month. In addition to that, 10% HRA shall be given to the fellow.

Candidates should have post-graduate (Masters) degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA and also should have qualified in GATE / CSIR – UGC JRF / NET / SLET or equivalent exams of similar level or CHARUSAT Doctoral Entrance Test (CDET).
An applicant of Post Ph.D. fellowship should not be more than 35 years of age and also should have Doctorate (Ph.D./MD) or equivalent degree.

Girls Hostel

Student Housing is available at the CHARUSAT owned hostel (for girls) and at other four privately owned hostels adjacent to campus. The life in hostels enables students to spend ample time at the university utilizing the library and other facilities to ensure they develop academically and acquire the necessary skills that can be obtained only through experience.
Gym

The gym is open from 9 am to 5 pm. Please remember to bring your student ID card every time you visit the gym and you also have to bring sport shoes. Non-sport shoes will not be allowed in the gym.
Library

The Knowledge Resource Center (Central Library) – a proud partner in the institute’s march towards its vision, plays a vital role in acquisition, organization, and dissemination of knowledge. It has put in place policies and procedure systems and services and the ambiance that facilitate the creation of new knowledge. It has an excellent collection of both print and electronic books, journals, technical reports, back volumes, and other reading material. It has adequate infrastructure to meet its requirements, has computerized all its operation using software developed in-house, and provide access to the collection through the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). The Resource Center contains 59,000 books, 350 magazines, access to 12982 online journals, 1600 ebooks, 3400 CDs. The KRC maintains a e resource access center containing 25 computer terminals for the students in which they can access national and international e-resources namely IEEE, ASME, AIP, IOP, IPS, CSPIT library database containing e-books, journals, Cd’s, Project Reports, Syllabus, University Exam papers through ftp. Moreover, separate computer terminals provide to students with CD writer and USB port for their presentation of the seminar, project work and day to day work.

CHARUSAT’s cricket and football teams have won several state-level championships. The university campus has facilities for indoor and outdoor games like badminton, table tennis, cricket, volleyball and football.

CHARUSAT has signed contracts for providing the transportation facilities to the students. A fleet of 25 buses to and fro for transporting students and staff from different locations in Ahmedabad and Vadodara every day. Students are supposed to pay directly to the travel company either yearly or in six monthly installments.
Laboratorie

CHARUSAT houses more than 120 state-of-the-art laboratories. Some of the labs are Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power Engineering Lab, IC Engine & Automobile Engineering Lab, Kinematics & DOM Lab, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Lab, Alternative Energy Sources Lab, Aseptic Laboratory, Pharmaceutical Technology Laboratory, Analytical Instrumental laboratory and more. All laboratories are well equipped with hi-tech equipment, which not only caters to UG and PG programmes but is also very useful for testing and consultancy projects. The laboratories provide students with opportunities to verify the theoretical knowledge that they imbibe in the classroom, and experience scientific principles first-hand.
