IIT Delhi (IITD) currently has a total strength of 5934 with over 800 female students across graduate and postgraduate programs. IIT Delhi also has a large and diverse faculty of over 650 members, with most of them being Ph.D. holders from reputed national and international universities.

IIT Delhi Scholarship
IIT Delhi provides different scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The institute offers a variety of scholarships under different categories.
Undergraduate Scholarship
Institute Free Studentship-U.G.: 10% of students are provided free studentship on the basis of merit scored.
Institute Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship: The Institute offers INR 1000 per month to about 25% of students. It is offered to meritorious undergraduate students in engineering and technology.
Institute Merit Prizes and Certificates: Top 7% of students from B.Tech are rewarded with an amount of INR 2500 up to the 8th and 10th semesters.
Scholarship provision for SC/ST students: The Institute exempts tuition fee of all SC/ST/PD students irrespective of their guardians/ parents’ income.

Postgraduate Scholarship
- Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarships: An amount of INR 1000 per month is provided to M.Sc students whose parents’ income is less than INR 4.5 LPA.
- For IIT Delhi M.Tech., M.S. (Research), and M.Des. Students: An amount of INR 12,400 per month is awarded to students studying in these courses on a full-time basis. They will be required to provide assistance of 8 hours to the Department/Centre/School.
- For Ph.D. Candidates: A scheme of Research Assistantship is provided to research scholars by the Institute. The students admitted on a full-time basis are offered teaching/ research assistantship. An amount of INR 25,000 will be given to these students.

IIT Delhi (IITD) is now offering direct admission in Ph.D Programs to NIT Srinagar Students. As per a new notification by IIT Delhi, students having a cumulative grade point of average of 8.00 (out of 10) or above at the end of 6th semester will be offered direct Admissions. IIT Delhi MBA Admissions are also going on and the last date for applying to MBA Program is Jan 31, 2021. IIT Delhi conducts MBA Admission on the basis of CAT Score. IIT Delhi MS (R) Admission 2021
IIT Delhi invites applications for MS (R) in the month of march every year. Admission will be offered in two ways, i.e, Direct admission without Written Test/ Interview and Admission on the basis of marks in the Written Test/ Interview conducted by IITD.
Direct admission will be offered to those candidates who have passed BE/ B.Tech or M.Sc with at least 75% (70% for SC/ST/PH) marks in aggregate along with a GATE score of greater than or equal to 300 (200 for SC/ST/PH).

Key Points
For SC/ST/PH category students minimum performance in the qualifying degree is relaxed from 55% to 50% (CGPA 5.5 to 5.00).

IIT Delhi GATE Cutoff
IIT Delhi offers admission to various streams of the M.Tech program through the GATE score. There are a total of 39 M.Tech. courses offered by the institute. Candidates have to clear the GATE cutoff to be considered eligible for admission.
M.Tech admission will be offered under Direct mode (75% marks in the qualifying degree along with GATE score>= 300) or on the basis of Written Test/ Interview for the student with at least 60% marks in BE/ B.Tech or M.Sc along with GATE score>=300.

During the 2020-2021 academic year, IIT Delhi hosted its Summer Placement drive online due to the pandemics, wherein over 230 students received more than 300 offers, some students even bagged multiple internships offers as well.

IIT Delhi Ranking 2020: Times Higher Education
Times Higher Education, often referred to as THE, has been releasing annual world university ranking lists since 2004. It has its own set of parameters and criteria, on the basis of which it ranks Universities all over the world.
Times Higher Education Rankings placed IIT Delhi in the rank zone of #401- 500 for the year 2020. The Institute secures the #91 position in the Times Higher Education Asia Ranking 2019. Times Higher Education’s Asia Ranking parameters are given below with numerical scores for IIT Delhi.
