Christ University, Bangalore (CU) was established in 1969 as Christ College. The University Grants Commission (UGC) of India conferred Autonomy to Christ College in 2004. Clubs, Committees and Societies:

Internal Complaints Committee– This committee of Christ University registers and addresses the internal issues faced by the college community. It tries to resolve the issues by taking necessary measures.
Centre for Social Action (CSA)– CSA has been promoting volunteerism and enabling students to develop as socially responsible citizens by involving them in social development initiatives both in campuses and marginalized communities. It envisions that every student will be aware, sensitive and empathetic and contributing to sustainable changes in society.
Centre for Sustainable Education and Development– This centre associate with academicians, research scholars, alumni, voluntary organisations, corporate and government departments interested in developing sustainability model towards education.
Centre for Concept Design– This centre was started to make digital video courses and support faculty members with digital teaching methodology. More than 100 faculty members are trained on how to prepare digital video sessions. They are given hands-on experience too.

Christ University, Bangalore Facilities:

Christ University provides several infrastructural facilities for the students and staff such as an auditorium to conduct events, well-equipped classrooms, laboratories to provide practical knowledge to the students, refreshment stalls, separate hostels for boys and girls, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, library with a collection of books, medical facilities to cater to the medical needs. There are separate hostels for girls and boys. Girls hostel has an accommodation capacity of 323 while the boys hostel has an accommodation capacity of 390. Each hostel has facilities like recreation hall, prayer hall, study hall, gymnasium, solar-powered water heaters, etc.

The University has 7 basketball courts, 2 football/cricket field with 400 mm track, 3 throw-ball courts, 2 volleyball courts, 1 hockey field, 2 cricket net practising areas and 1 floodlit tennis court.

Christ University has 5 libraries. Each library is very well-stocked. All the libraries have a good collection of textbooks, reference books, periodicals, journal archives etc. The libraries can accommodate more than 1000 students and have facilities like internet and Wifi services, symposium halls for group discussion, locker facility, computer lab, reprography facility, current affairs section etc.

CHRIST Deemed-to-be) University offers scholarships worth Rs 450 lakh via fee concessions and scholarships, every year. Details regarding all Christ University scholarships are mentioned below:

Merit Scholarship: These scholarships are offered to meritorious students based on their performance at the pre-entry level and subsequent performance in various tests and exams conducted by the deemed University.

Scholarship for Financial Assistance: Aspirants seeking these scholarships must apply to the Office of Awards and Scholarships with relevant documents. First-year students of UG and PG courses who are economically weak but meticulous, especially from rural areas are eligible to apply. They are required to provide enough evidence of their eligibility enclosing their community/ income certificate. The percentage of concession provided to different category courses is as follows:
