CAPF AC 2025: Recruitment for Assistant Commandants
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the CAPF AC Exam to recruit candidates for the post of Assistant Commandants in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). The selected candidates will be posted in BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB.

Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.
Gender Restrictions:
Female candidates are excluded for ITBP posts.
Both male and female candidates can apply for CRPF, CISF, SSB, and BSF posts.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Age Limit:
Minimum: 20 years
Maximum: 25 years (as of 1st August 2025).
Physical Standards: Candidates must meet specific criteria for height, eyesight, and general health.

SC/ST and female candidates: Exempted

Selection Procedure

Paper-1: General Ability and Intelligence (Objective Type, 250 Marks)
Paper-2: General Studies, Essay & Comprehension (Descriptive, 200 Marks)
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Test
Interview/Personality Test
Final merit is based on combined marks of the written exam and interview.
