The Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur has a large campus on NH 65 spanning over 852 acres of land. For a great academic experience as well as comfortable campus life, IIT Jodhpur offers students a number of facilities:

Hostel: The hostel building has state of the art insulation for maintenance of temperature all year. Each student is offered single occupancy in an air-conditioned and semi-furnished room. There is 24×7 WiFi and LAN connection in the hostel for better connectivity. There are water coolers and hot water geysers on each floor along with laundry and housekeeping services. Each hostel building has an elevator for convenience. Sports and other facilities such as TV, reading room, art and music room, carom, table tennis, indoor football, snooker, chess, badminton play area, gymnasiums etc. Students also have access to dedicated hostel parking for vehicles.

Food: There is a dedicated 3-storeyed building with an elevator for dining which can accommodate and cater to up to 1000 students at the same time. The building is fully air-conditioned and serves vegetarian and nonvegetarian delicacies separately. There is a separate food court as well with a vast range of ala carte menu.

Health Care: There is an ISO certified health center located on campus that also provides OPD and ambulance services. The health center has a constituted medical board of doctors from Government Medical College and AIIMS.

Sports: There are several sports facilities including football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, lawn-tennis and badminton grounds. For each sport, there are national-level coaches that train students for intra and inter-college sports competitions. The campus also features fully equipped gymnasiums.

Candidates need to fill an application form online for both admission and entrance. Other admission related details are elaborated below:

Admission to B.Tech requires a valid rank in JEE Main and JEE Advanced with scores in 10+2 PCM. This is followed by JoSAA Counselling.
For M.Sc. admission a rank in IIT JAM is required followed by CCMN Counselling. Along with scores in B.Sc or B.Tech or other relevant degrees.
M.Tech admission is offered based on scores in GATE plus scores in BE/B.Tech along with CCMT Counselling.
MBA admissions are offered on the basis of scores in CAT, along with scores in a bachelor’s degree.

Admission Process

The application fee for taking this exam varies with the type of candidature. The application fee is INR 650 (general category) and INR 325 (reserved category). The following section throws light on the requirements and the process of registration for JEE Mains.

Documents Required

Scanned and recent photograph coloured or black/white (but clear contrast) JPG/JPEG format. Size should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
Scanned signature in JPG/JPEG format. Size should be between 4 kb to 30 kb.

Register by giving your personal details, to generate a user id and password.
The application number will be generated after submitting the details for registration.
The form requires personal details, address, and mobile number.
You can set your security question and password to access the application for the future.
Submit the application form by logging in with the same user id and password that you had set.

JoSAA

Admission to B.Tech programs is offered through JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). Students who have appeared for either JEE Mains or JEE Advanced must keep the following points in mind while registering:

Students having qualified JEE Mains are eligible to apply for seat allotment to NITs only.
While JEE Advanced qualified candidates can apply to all participating institutions.
Applicants can fill as many options while registering in the decreasing order.
In order to be considered for admission according to the given options, students must not forget to lock their choices. Once locked no changes can be made.
In total, there are 7 rounds for seat allocation where all institutions participate who are a part of it.
Finally, an acceptance fee must be paid for accepting the seat provisionally.

How to Apply for GATE?

The applications are accepted through the official website of GOAPS. Where the applicant must register first to create a new registration using one unique email id.

Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/Voter ID/College ID/Employee Identification Card/Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address).
Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Course Completion Certificate.
Copy of mark sheet of V /VI /VII semester.
Final year students must submit Provisional Certificate Letter as per format issued by the Home of Institute/Dean/Registrar/Head of Dept.
Candidates in the final year of AMIE have to submit their mark sheet for Section A of AMIE in case of professional equivalent qualifications.
Caste Certificate/Disability or PwD Certificate (if applicable).

CCMT Counseling

M.Tech admissions are also through CCMT Counseling. The applicants apply online on the official website. Eligibility criteria have been given below:

Eligibility

The applicants must be GATE qualified and should have passed B.E/B.Tech with 6.5 CGPA (or 60%) for general/unreserved category (55% for reserved category).
Provisional certificate is accepted if final scores are not released by the respective institution. But candidates must submit their final scores within the stipulated time given.
Students who are GATE qualified will be considered before those who apply on the basis of the previous exam’s qualifying marks.

Note: GATE qualified students must apply through the official website of CCMT to be considered for counseling and admissions.

The Admission process consists of two stages:

STAGE 1:

Shortlisting based on the percentile of candidates in the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs.

An initial shortlist shall be done based on the overall percentile in CAT. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for Personal Interview (PI)
PI will be conducted online, where each shortlisted candidate will be interviewed by a panel of one or more experts.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have completed a Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Science, Humanities, Engineering, Agricultural Science, Social Sciences, etc. with minimum 60% marks for GEN/ OBC /GEN- EWS categories and 55% in case of SC/ST/PD categories.

The candidate must have completed MBBS with MS or MD, BDS with MDS or BVSc. with MVSc., with minimum 60% marks for GEN/ OBC /GEN- EWS categories and 55% in case of SC/ST/PD categories.

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Pharmacy or Engineering or Veterinary Science or Agricultural Science or Medicine with minimum 70% marks for GEN/ OBC /GEN- EWS categories and 65% in case of SC/ST/PD categories.

Selection Criteria

The selection in this course is based on a written test and interview which will be conducted by the Institute.
After that, the Institute will announce the list of qualified candidates.
Students with GATE / UGC-NET / JRF / SLET are eligible to apply and appear directly for the interview.
These students will also be exempted from appearing for the internal examination.
