World’s largest international education network, QS, has published its second annual list of the QS USA University Rankings 2021. Harvard University has retained the highest spot, followed by Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) at their second and third spots respectively.
The list has been developed supported four different metrics, resulting in an overall score for 351 universities. In fact, this year’s rankings are the most important rankings for the US, rising from 302 universities last year to 351 in 2021.
With a complete of 42 institutions, the foremost represented US state is ny followed by California with 38 universities, Pennsylvania with 18 universities and Massachusetts with 16 universities.
The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) moved up a ranking, from its sixth spot last year to the fifth place in this year’s rankings.
While Yale University retained its sixth spot, Columbia University dropped from fifth to sixth place this year.
Notably, Princeton University also rose from its ninth spot last year to eighth place this year.
The University of Pennsylvania dropped two spots this year from eight to tenth, whereas New York University climbed two spots from 11th to ninth.
