P.R. ENGINEERING COLLEGE was established in the year 2000 under the benevolent Trust named "Sri Ponnaiyah Ramajayathammal Educational and Charitable Trust" (SPRECT). The Institution was founded by the philanthropic munificent founder Prof. P. Murugesan, who began his career as an academician. The first seed to serve the society and higher education was sown by him in the year 1985, by starting Ram Institute of Computer Science and Technology. With the extra-ordinary support and cooperation from the parents, students and public, he started Ponnaiyah Ramajayam College affiliated to Bharathidasan University in the year 1994. Within a short span of time, the college had earned good name, fame and reputation, which had encouraged starting P.R. Engineering College in the year 2000. Subsequently, his service to education and society has extended in every sphere and in all aspects till date.

P.R.Engineering College is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The Institution is located in a lush clean and green atmosphere, away from the hassle and tussle of the city, about 11 kms from Thanjavur city. The college is easily reachable from the nearest airport (i.e.) Tiruchirappalli airport and Thanjavur railway station. The campus is accessible by road from Thanjavur, Trichy, Pudukkottai and adjacent districts.

The Motto of our Institution is "QUALITY & DISCIPLINE". The institution sprawls in an area of 11.52 acres. It is enriched with excellent state of the art infrastructural facilities which include well-equipped laboratories, Departmental buildings, central library, ICT facilities, other amenities and students hostels. The college is certified with ISO 9001:2008 certification by TUVSUD since 2008. The college provides transport facilities to local and nearby districts, covering an area of around 50 km radius in addition to the public transport like mofussil and town bus facilities.

The college offers 6 UG and 2 PG programmes. The Teaching - Learning process is done in a conducive environment and student-friendly atmosphere. The college is committed to ensure continual improvement and to bringout capable Engineers with exemplary character. The strength of the institution is the availability of qualified, dedicated, committed and experienced Teaching faculty members, supported by the service oriented technical staff and also consistently excels in the academic performance with University ranks.

Established in 2001, the institute is also known as NIET. The campus size is spread over an area of 14 acres of land. The college is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. The mission and vision of the college is to provide quality education by fostering innovation and research and achieve academic excellence.

NIET offers courses in the fields of Engineering, Pharmacy, Computer Science, Management and Research. NIET offers diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D courses. The total number of faculty members in the college is 193 and the total number of students enrolled is 4859. Thus, the student-teacher ratio at NIET is 15:1. The institute has secured the 171st rank in the Engineering category in NIRF 2021 Ranking with a score of 33.99 out of 100. The institute has been ranked 43rd in the NIRF 2021 rankings in the pharmacy category.

The college provides many facilities like library, auditorium, sports, gym, medical clinic, laboratories, cafeteria, boys hostel, girls hostel, transport, computer lab, wifi, IT infrastructure, etc. The college also has a placement cell called Career Management Cell. NIET placement cell also conducts various pre-placement training like mock interviews, group discussions and industrial visits. NIET is located at Institutional Area, Knowledge Park II, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. There are various modes of transport to reach the college. One can travel by air, road or rail to reach Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology Greater Noida. The nearest railway station to the college is New Delhi Railway Station. The distance between the railway station and the college is 45 km. Indira Gandhi International Airport is the nearest airport to the college and is 50 km away from the college. Pari Chowk Bus Stop is the nearest bus stop to NIET. It is 3.3 km away from the college campus.

Arul Jothi Charitable Educational trust is a public Charitable Educational trust established in the year 2005 with an objective to achieve “Higher Education to All “by running various educational institutions and program for the welfare of the society. The P. A. College of Engineering and Technology has been successfully functioning since 2008 in the cluster of Educational institutions run by Arul Jothi Charitable trust for which Dr. Thiru P. Appukutty is the Chairman of long standing experience for 34 years in Technical Education.

P. A. College of Engineering and Technology (PACET) is located in serene surrounding amidst the cluster of coconut groves on the state Highway (SH-19) about 2 Km from Pollachi which is situated at the foot hills of Anaimalai and Valparai hills. Pollachi town is 40 Km from the south of Coimbatore. Pollachi is a leading commercial centre having a big market for agricultural products. Tender coconuts, coconuts, coconut oil and other by-products are being transported to all parts of the country and exported all over the world. PACET is in the reach of about 40 minutes drive from Coimbatore airport or railway station and one hour from Tirupur. The college enjoys a congenial atmosphere essential for a cozy and vibrant scholastic learning process.

PACET provides engineering education for Life. The beautiful and spacious buildings have been designed well by the chairman – renowned civil engineer- with architectural marvels of various blocks accommodating the needs of administration computer centre, academic block, lecture halls, library, laboratories, conference halls, hostel and students common rooms. • The college became functional with its first batch from the academic year 2008-09, and is competently managed by Chairman Dr. P. Appukutty. The college is located in the peaceful surroundings of puliyampatty on the outskirts of Pollachi. It is about 8km from Pollachi. Frequent public transport service from Pollachi with a stop junction of the College road enables students to conveniently reach the college. The College provides bus transport to its students.
