The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is a nationwide examination conducted by the Bar Council of India (BCI) with the aim of assessing the capability and competence of law graduates to practice law in India. The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is scheduled to be conducted by the Bar Council of India on December 10, 2023. The AIBE examination for the year 2024 will be administered in an offline mode, utilizing the OMR-based test format.
The AIBE 2024 paper will consist of a total of 100 questions, following the exam pattern. Candidates will be allotted 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete the paper. It is important to note that the questions will be in the form of multiple-choice. Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark, while there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
On the day of the exam, it is imperative for candidates to ensure that they have the following items with them.
Admit card
Valid ID proof
Passport size photo
Bare acts or bare acts with the least comments
Blue or black dot pen
Registration documents
AIBE 2024: Exam day guidelines
- Candidates are required to bring their admit card and one photo ID to their designated test center. Failure to present an admit card will result in denial of entry to the examination center.
- Candidates are only allowed to bring bare acts without any notes or annotations to the test center.
- The use of electronic devices such as mobile phones, computers, smart watches, and any form of books or notes is strictly prohibited. Candidates must remain in the test venue until the exam is completed and must submit their answer sheet before leaving.
- Only blue or black ballpoint pens are permitted for writing. Using a pencil on the OMR page will lead to disqualification of the candidate.
- The candidate must correctly input their roll number on the answer sheet and fill in the corresponding ovals. Any discrepancy will result in disqualification.
- Candidates with a disability exceeding 50% will be granted an additional 20 minutes per hour. These candidates must provide a valid disability certificate to the invigilator in order to avail the extra time.
