MAT exam is conducted in three modes – Computer Based Test (CBT), Paper Based Test (PBT) and Internet Based Test (IBT). While CBT and PBT are conducted at designated exam centres, the IBT mode is a test which the candidates can take from home on any desktop or laptop with camera.
To be able to take the exam, candidates have to follow certain guidelines made by AIMA for prevention of cheating and other mal practices. More guidelines have been introduced for MAT exam due to COVID-19 pandemic. For example, this year, the candidates not only have to present the MAT admit card and photo ID at the exam centre, but also a self-declaration form saying they are not suffering from coronavirus or related symptoms.
