Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore

IISc Bangalore was established in 1909 with active support from Jamsetji Tata and is also locally known as the ‘Tata Institute’. The institute was granted the deemed to be university status in the year 1958 and the Institute of ‘Eminence status’ in 2018. The NIRF ranked IIS No 1 among the top universities in India. The campus in Bangalore houses more than 40 departments marked by different routes such as the Gulmohar Marg, the Mahogany Marg, the Badami Marg, etc. The Institute is fully residential maintained and is spread over an area of 400 acres of land in the heart of Bangalore city.

Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore
