The college campus is spread in 30 acres of land surrounded by flora and fauna designed brilliantly with excellent facilities and have excellent environment to study. Here Emphasis is laid on developing the students in all round form. We don’t only prepare engineers but leaders of tomorrow. The college has been approved by All India Council of Technical Education and is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University and Himachal Pradesh technical university. The academic buildings have spacious and airy class rooms with well equipped laboratory where students study the material first and then experience it practically. We lay emphasis on practical knowledge and make sure that our class room are more interactive than the traditional lecture halls. To even supplement that we have special classes for personality development and different technical and hobbies club which allows students to even have a cutting edge lead over the others. Seminars and guest lecture are highly frequent, industry experts are invited often to share their experiences and guide the students through the rising competition. This is backed by the students by their long hours of self study in our library having over 15000 books, over 110 journals covering all the aspects of engineering and general studies. To keep our students updated, we stay updated. We assure students can connect to internet as Wi-Fi has been provided at different locations of the college, generators for uninterruptible power supply,24 hours working ATM machine, a canteen for which caters to both students and teachers and teachers, a health care center where services of qualified medical practitioner can be availed free of cost with an ambulance which helps students, if required immediate medical attention, shifting to nearby hospital. Anti- ragging cell is also there to ensure cordial relation of students. College has its own 10 buses which are available from Solan and Dharampur. For the all round development of students, sports activities are carried all over the year. Sports like athletics, cricket, badminton, football, basketball etc. have their tournaments every year for the students. A gymnasium is also located within the campus with modern facilities available to students for free. Institute also observes a national level technical and cultural fest named as Elevation which happens once a year and has display variety of innovations both technically and culturally. Our students do great both as hosts as well as visitors. They have won us laurels at institutes like NIT, IIT, PEC. There are 2 boys hostel in the campus: Shivalik hostel, a five stories building having a capacity of 252 students and Himgiri hostel, a six story building having a capacity of 200 students. A 4 story girl’s hostel is also there within the campus where adequate arrangements have been done to assure the privacy and security of students. All the hostels have their common rooms and messes. The campus is always under surveillance through the CCTV cameras installed at all public locations. The college also have a separate guest house which is there to accommodate college guests and parents of students. The stepping stone for every student’s aspiration is the placement opportunity after the completion of the course. Speaking of the session 2014-15 over 150 students are placed and the highest package is bagged by Mr. Adil Zaidi of 13 lakh per annum. Before that many of our students has been placed all over the globe, working for different companies and MNCs. Green Hills Engineering College Society started up another institute named Green Hills Polytechnic in the year 2007- to motivate young careers to transform their lives. It’s a base setting institute which imparts the basic knowledge to the students and make them capable enough to face the competition in modern era.
