The Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar was established in 2007 by the Parliament of India through the Central Universities Act (2009), Central University of Gujarat. The Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC). The Central University of Gujarat is commonly known as CUG and accredited by NAAC with a grade of ‘B++’. The Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar houses 11 schools namely the School of Chemical Sciences (SCS), School of Applied Material Sciences (SAMS), School of Education, School of Environment and Sustainable Development (SESD), School of International Studies (SIS), School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies (SLL&CS), School of Library and Information Sciences (SLS), School of Life Sciences (SLS), School of Nano Sciences (SNS), School of National Security Studies (SNSS) and School of Social Sciences (SSS).

There are 50+ programmes offered at Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar under 11 Schools. They range from BA, M.A, M.Sc, M.Ed, and M.Phil to PhD programmes covering multidisciplinary subjects like Humanities, Languages, Education, Social Sciences and so on. The CUG admission is based on the CUET as well as course-wise eligibility criteria.

The Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh also known as CUH is a central university that emerged in the year 2009. It is one of the 15 central universities established by MHRD, Govt. of India under the 11th five-year plan of 2007-2012. Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh is fully funded by the UGC. Central University of Jammu & Kashmir was established in 2011 under Central Universities Act, 2009. The Central University of Jammu & Kashmir is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). CU Jammu is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Central University of Jammu & Kashmir is approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The Central University of Jammu & Kashmir offers courses in the fields of science, management, engineering, arts, education, research, etc. The courses offered by the Central University of Jammu & Kashmir are diploma, B.Sc. (H) and M.Sc. integrated, B.A. and B.Ed. integrated, B.Voc, PG diploma, M.Sc., M.Tech, M.B.A, M.A., M.Ed. and Ph.D. Admission to the courses is based on the merit marks of the candidates in CUCET. For Ph.D programme, UGC/NET/UGC-CSIR NET/SLET/ GATE/M.Phil qualified candidates can apply for admission without CUCET. The university has a total 97 well-qualified faculty members. The total number of students enrolled at present is 1757. Thus, the student-teacher ratio at CU Jammu is 18:1.

The Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi is a university established under the Act of Parliament in the year 2009.  The campus of Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi is spread on an area of 45 acres, the university also provides hostel facilities to the students.

Central University of Kerala was established in 2009 under the Central Universities Act 2009. The university is approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). Central University of Kerala is accredited by the NAAC. Central University of Kerala Kasaragod is a co-education university spread over a campus size of 310 acres. The university offers a total of 50 courses. Central University of Kerala has a total faculty size of 115 members and 2,062 students. Central University of Kerala also provides various academic and infrastructural facilities to the students. CUK Kasaragod also offers placements and scholarships opportunities to all its students.
