Alakh Prakash Goyal Shimla University is a private university established in 2012 under the Himachal Pradesh State Act no 20 of 2013 with a right to confer Degrees as per section 2f of Universities Grants Commission (UGC) Act 1956. AP Goyal Shimla University, Shimla is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of Himachal Pradesh and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It is also known as AP Goyal Shimla University. AP Goyal Shimla University is spread over an area of 42 acres. The varsity has 114 faculty members in total.
